Welcome to the Comic Blog Elite toplist, a resource for fans, creators, retailers, and publishers to identify the very best comic blogs on the net -- based on actual site hits. Joining the Comic Blog Elite will connect you to a network of like-minded bloggers and expose your site to new readers interested in exactly what you have to offer. The Comic Blog Elite represent the voice and spirit of the comic community.

A toplist is a list of websites ranked according to a metric like pageviews. Successful toplists help connect interested readers to the very best of whatever content it is they're after.

The Comic Blog Elite toplist is open to all BLOGS focused on the discussion of comics -– print comics, web comics, mainstream comics, indie comics, old comics, new comics, a specific title or creator (yes, even if it is your title or you are that creator), comic-creating techniques, or simply comic news and reviews. See where your site falls amongst your mighty competition. It's 100% FREE!

Sites on this toplist will fall into one of the following categories:

Comics Culture -- Our broadest category, Comics Culture blogs cover everything from industry news to geek lifestyles, without necessarily focusing specifically on comic book stories or characters.

News & Reviews -- These are the sites where the fanboys go to learn what's going on with their favorite characters, creators, and publishers. While there may be some overlap into comic book culture, these sites will focus more heavily on the comic stories.

Megasites -- Magazine-style websites caught on to the concept of blogging some time ago, so it would be silly to ignore their contribution to the current comic blogosphere. Still, when a blog is just one small section in a larger, well-financed portal with a forum, multiple columns, and several contributors, we owe it to the little guy with the self-started free-web blog to stick it in its own special category.

Creator Sites -- This includes any site run by or on behalf of a comic creator (writers, artists, creator collectives) or his/her/their works. Official sites for specific titles would also fall under this category.

Rants & Nonsense -- Not everyone who blogs about comics is interested in actually reviewing current comics, analyzing the socioeconomic impact of comic books on our culture, or anything else remotely high minded. Sometimes, comic bloggers just want to have fun or cut loose with some unfiltered brain droppings. You'll find these sites under this category.

Social Promotion

Comic bloggers of the World Wide Web unite! We all share a common interest – comics. Making them, reading them, loving them, or hating them, comics are what we’re all about. And it’s what our readers are all about too. Just like them, we’re fans and creators who are fans of creators (and sometimes creators of fans). So whether you’re a blogger looking to extend your readership, a small press creator trying to find the best sites to promote your book, or just a fanboy or fangirl looking for some buzz, social promotion is the way to bring us all together. Publicize quality comic blogging by joining one or more social sites like Digg, del.icio.us, or StumbleUpon and bookmarking posts you enjoy during your daily browsing. And, of course, make sure your favorite comic blogs make the list of the Comic Blog Elite.
